Housing and Commercial Real Estate

Real estate is still over priced and those of you wishing it will come back are still dreaming. Average
household income in the U.S. for 2007 (last year I could find the figures quickly) was $50,233.00.
Which means the vast majority of people can only afford a 136,000.00 dollar home. (Based on
the 28% rule and with the cost of food, gas, and health care that is really pushing it)

2008 government census found the average house price to be 274,000.00 with the median being
221,600.00. Common sense would say that most people should not buy a home.

This fall look for commercial real estate to begin its collapse. People spending less mean less need for stores.

Tea Parties
Good idea until you look at who set them up and the reasons behind them.
If you read, I know most Americans can no longer read, you will see that the voice
behind the parties are rabid republicans.
They only want government spending if it directly benefits them and no one else.
They did not say a word when Bush doubled the national debt and brought this country to the brink of ruin under
his eight years of stupidity. Don't believe me? Then answer these following questions.
Who attacked the World Trade Center?
Which country actively shielded and helped the person do this?
Who benefitted from these blunders?

Answers:
Osama Bin Laden
Afghanistan
Cheney's old company and a slew of BIG Businesses

Who did Bush go after? Saddam Hussein
Which country did he take over? Iraq
Cheney's old company was rich enough to move to another country!

Yes I do vote Democrat but simply because they spread the government money around in
a more fair manner.
I disagree with a lot of what they do, and Democrats need to listen to these, such as
Gun Control and Welfare, and these damn bailouts.

On gun control there are already laws in place to punish people who use weapons in an
illegal manner.
Welfare should only be given to those who have paid into the system. I have nothing against someone who
has worked and has fallen on hard times getting help. It really gripes me when people who have never paid
in get help while the rest of us have to work to support them.
The bailouts are just plain stupid! You do not socialize failure and privatize profit!

My rants for the day....

The Global Economy

The global economy was setup as a way for America to export the only
thing it has created over the last nine years, DEBT!

Regan and Bush have one thing in common; we may
never be able to pay down the debt they created while they
were in office.

Now Obama is spending like there is no tomorrow.

 Food Contamination

A little history lesson, especially for you republicans, up until the Regan years the USDA was funded by the food industry. If you wanted a USDA certification the company paid for the inspection, this made the USDA a self-funded organization and the cost was spread out over tons of product. A deal was made once Regan was in office to put the USDA employees on the government payroll; or lets say make them your standard burden to the taxpayer.

The normal actions of any government agency followed, budget cuts which lead to fewer/poorer inspections and our current contaminated food!

Housing and Etc.

The rise in housing prices was a self full filling prophecy or
a pyramid scheme according to how you look at it.

The so called recovery under Bush, rise in housing prices, and
corporate takeovers has all been fueled by debt. Anything built
upon by debt is doomed to collapse.

Gas prices

We forgot the lessons from the 70s that oil prices can spike and that fossil fuels are limited.

The government sided with the oil and automobile companies to screw the American people by not forcing higher gas mileage, more efficient homes, etc.

 Retirement Benefits

Most large companies are not funding their retirement funds adequately and this will cause much misery in the coming years. Instead of bitching about Exxon’s 30 billion dollar profit, force them to use it to shore up their pension funds. They were under funded by 11 billion dollars last news item I saw.

You do know that most of these under funded pension funds are planning at some point to default and force the government to bail them out? This means we the taxpayers will have to pay.

 The Iraqi Situation

History lesson again!  It was Osama Bin Laden who masterminded the 9/11 attacks with the blessing of the Afghanistan government leaders. We took Afghanistan easily but before we finished the job some asshole decided to send us into Iraq.

Credit

Credit means you can't afford it!
